Know where you stand
Clear rules for hosts and guests
No fine print games. Here's exactly what happens when an event is cancelled, how refunds and payouts work, and what is never allowed on Ripple.
Cancelling an event
- Free events can be cancelled at any time.
- Paid events can be cancelled too — but if you cancel after tickets have been bought, a $100 fine applies.
- The host's account is placed on hold until the fine is paid.
- Unpaid after 30 days, the matter attracts legal action.
Refunds for ticket holders
- If an event is cancelled, every ticket holder is entitled to a refund.
- Refunds are paid within 72 hours of the refund being claimed.
- Claims must be made within 30 days of the cancellation — after that the refund is forfeited.
Payouts for hosts
- Payouts are settled by EcoCash or direct bank settlement.
- Request your payout from the account section once your event is complete.

Content and safety
- Nudity and sexually explicit content are not allowed anywhere on Ripple.
- Child sexual abuse material is illegal. It is removed on sight, the account is permanently banned, and it is reported to the authorities.
- Harassment, hate speech and threats get accounts removed.
- Report anything that crosses the line — every report is reviewed.
